Ingredients
- 170g (approx. 6 oz) boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp fat-free Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- ¼ tsp red chili powder (or to taste)
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp fresh mint leaves
- 1 tbsp fresh cilantro leaves
- 1 small green chili (optional)
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 1 tsp water
- ¼ small red onion, thinly sliced (for serving)
- 1 small tomato, diced (for serving)
Instructions
- Prep: In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with Greek yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the chicken. Let marinate for at least 10 minutes (or up to 30 minutes if time allows).
- For the Mint Chutney: In a small food processor or with a mortar and pestle, combine fresh mint leaves, cilantro leaves, green chili (if using), lime juice, and water. Blend until a smooth chutney forms.
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
- Place the marinated chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and lightly charred.
- Serve the hot air-fried chicken tikka immediately with the fresh mint chutney. Garnish with sliced red onion and diced tomato.
