Ingredients
- 8 oz (approx. 226g) lean beef sirloin steak, thinly sliced (2x 4oz portions)
- 2 bell peppers (any color), deseeded and sliced into strips
- 1 tbsp olive oil, divided
- 1 tsp Za'atar seasoning, divided
- 1/4 tsp salt, divided
- 1/8 tsp black pepper, divided
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Prep: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Slice the bell peppers into strips and thinly slice the beef sirloin steak.
- In a bowl, toss the bell pepper strips with 1/2 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp Za'atar, 1/8 tsp salt, and 1/16 tsp black pepper.
- Arrange the seasoned bell peppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until tender and slightly charred.
- While peppers are cooking, season the thinly sliced beef sirloin with the remaining 1/2 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp Za'atar, 1/8 tsp salt, and 1/16 tsp black pepper.
- Heat a grill pan or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the beef slices for 1-2 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Divide the grilled beef and roasted peppers between two plates. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.
